Kirtan is a way of making music together by singing and chanting. It’s all about having fun and quieting the mind. No one cares what you sound like. It’s a very simple and powerful way to meditate. Kirtan is the Universal language of Spirit, the song of the Soul.
As you sing together, you’ll experience a connection with the musicians, other participants and yourself. You can experience your own voice becoming as beautiful as all the others. All voices merge together to become One Voice.
The songs of Kirtan are sung in Sanskrit. The ancient chants contain powerful renewing and transformative energy that helps us reconnect with the Divinity that resides within each of us.
“Kirtan is a means of finding our way back to the core of our Being, to our heart, and to our connection with each other.” - Ragani
