I have been practicing yoga since 2005. I started my practice as a way to improve control of breathing for distance running and triathlon. The first few years of my practice, I enjoyed the benefits it brought me - body, mind, spirit and breath control. However, I experienced a serious back injury that I assumed would be something I would have to deal with for the rest of my life.
After 4 years of living in pain, I found a Physical Therapist who worked with me and helped me heal myself through yoga and strength training. As time passed, I realized that it had been several months since I even thought about my back. This inspired me to get my 200 hour certification in 2013.
My passion is to bring yoga to everyone! I absolutely love working with beginners and helping everyone feel comfortable at their pace and level. There is no judgement in yoga! If there is, then guess what, that’s not yoga! Yoga should be fun, empowering and healing.
If you are interested in getting started, come see me. My class will be taught at all levels especially welcoming people who are new and a little afraid of the lingo and looking dumb. I fall all the time!
